Seeing a homeless person or a dog struggling to survive on the streets is a scene that can break anyone’s heart.
And although during times like Christmas, seeing something like this is especially hard, as sensitivity and humanity seem to be on edge, it should touch us deep within our hearts at any time and under any circumstances of the year.

It was a particularly cold day just a few days before Christmas Eve, and even from a distance it was clear that they were struggling to keep warm.

It wasn’t long before he became homeless, but that wasn’t all. He had been diagnosed with cancer and only had a few weeks to live.
His biggest concern in life was undoubtedly his beloved Baby. He wanted to find her a family and not have her be just another helpless dog on the streets.

That’s when Jenine-Lacette opened a GoFundMe donation account. Thanks to this brilliant initiative, the money raised allowed Clifford to feed the dog and rent a room at the Crossland Hotel in the first week, where she would spend her final weeks.
Their last days together, Clifford sweetly played guitar for Baby

During that time he had the opportunity to see that Baby was adopted by a family that was willing to love and protect her, just as he had always dreamed of.

A new friendship is blossoming between Baby and his new little human. That doesn’t mean Baby won’t forget his favorite human, the one he lived alongside and endured so many hardships, but whose love and dedication never failed him.

She was everything to her friend, and she will forever be in his heart.

This story strikes a chord with many online, and it makes us think there’s still a lot of hope in the world. There are still people willing to help others, and in turn, a few animals in need
