There are people who, to put it mildly, are dishonored and unworthy as a species. These are beings who show the slightest compassion for others more ʋulerʼ, such as pets. The fact is that disregard, cruelty, and neglect towards them can cost them dearly. They have no mercy, and cannot stand up for themselves.
The case of Mateus, a dog left by his family hanging from the ceiling through the back door of their residence for a whole month , is causing shock.
But, not only did he have to remain in such a humiliating and extreme situation, but he also lasted all that time almost drowned in water, which is why he was seriously malnourished , on the verge of dying of anxiety.
“This poor dog was discovered by us in the back of a wealthy family’s house. His name is Mateus. When we found him, he was hanging from the back door of this powerful people,” the organization Paw Rescue reported.
Likewise, members of the sector confirmed the length of time the animal remained in that state. They also said that none of them took care of helping him for fear of reprisals that the wealthy, but inhuman, family could bring.
“The officials said the dog had been hanging there for over a month, during which time they asked to be fed. Although they loved Mateus, they did not dare to let him out for fear of a fight with the family,” the organization added.
By a miracle of prophecy, Mateus managed to survive his torture for that entire month. His case became public, and a group of animal rights activists intervened just in time to prevent further damage to the animal.
The furry animal was taken out of there and transferred to an emergency clinic to thoroughly examine its health status and receive the corresponding care and medical treatment.
Fortunately, beyond the malnutrition he suffered and the illegitimate and brutal treatment he received, the little animal did not present any other serious condition. Thanks to the excellent work of the rescuers and the animal team, he did not have to struggle to recover. He now enjoys a good family, who gives him all the attention and respect that every animal deserves .
“We are proud to have been able to help this vulnerable being find a new opportunity for a better life. Today he is very happy with his new adoptive family,” the humanitarian organization added.
We can’t stress this enough: Having a pet requires the same responsibility as having a child. It’s true that not everyone is capable of this task. There are still many people out there who continue to bring pets into their homes, only to then subject them to opprobrium, humiliation, and hardship.
