Modric is pure class!
Luka Modric played what could be his last game for Real Madrid against Real Sociedad at the weekend.
In the first half of that game, Real Madrid won a penalty, which was taken and missed by Kylian Mbappe, although the Frenchman was quick to fire home the rebound.
When the penalty was being checked by the VAR, Raul Asencio started having a conversation with Modric.
Asencio to Luka Modrić: “Why don’t you shoot the penalty?”
Luka: “No, no, Kylian needs it [for Golden Boot]”
Luka: “Kylian…shoot it.”
Modric was the first to celebrate happily immediately Mbappe finally converted the penalty.
Mbappe finished the season with 31 goals in La Liga, making him not just La Liga’s top scorer but the Golden Boot winner in Europe.
Modric leaves Madrid with his head held high. He never caused problems for the club and always helped his teammates.
