The pain of abused animals can reach the same level as that of any person or other living being, even more so when they are the targets of the most terrible abuse.

The incident occurred a couple of weeks ago in the city of San Pedro in Coahuila (Mexico), where a man reported a crying and apparently injured animal under a van parked on the street.

The neighbor who found him saw a trail of blood and realized he was injured. But in the face of his pain, he couldn’t approach him, as the stunned dog refused any contact with another human.

Civil Protection Director Javier Onofre explained that the dog was extremely scared but not violent. Despite his distress, he proved to be a very good-natured dog and allowed himself to be rescued without any major problems.

Regarding the man who attacked him, Onofre reported that “he has already been identified, and since animals also have laws that protect them, a complaint will be filed and he will be punished.”

For those who believe that the crime is lesser because the victim is a dog, they should know that many criminals begin their crimes by harming defenseless animals.
