A dog who was just skin and bones was fortunately found in time in an empty apartment. The poor thing begged for someone to come and save her, and what happened next is heartbreaking.
The old 8-year- pit bull had the terrible luck of having horrible owners, who left her locked in her old apartment.
As if that weren’t enough, they made sure to change the locks so no one could even get in to do anything for her. Daenerys, on the verge of starvation, waited for death in a corner.
To say the pet was in poor condition is an understatement, and its malnutrition was so critical that he thought he had arrived too late.
“I walked into the bathroom and she was just sitting in the corner. I’d never seen anything like that,” Tara said.
It is unknown how long it had been since her previous owners abandoned her in such a heartbreaking manner, but there is no doubt that Tara arrived just in time, after sweet Daenerys had been brought back from death’s door.
He was shaking to the core and looked at Tara pleading for help.
But even in her condition, she was full of love for everyone around her.
“The craziest thing is that as soon as she saw me, she came running up to me, wagging her tail. She didn’t seem scared of any of us at all. She never growled. She never backed away . She’d even lean in for a pet.”
She carried her into the next room, covered her with sheets, and promised her everything would be okay . Tara offered to personally care for the pit bull at her home and do everything she could to ensure her recovery.
Something she noticed right away and was moved by was his eagerness to be loved.
He couldn’t even stand up and they really doubted he would make it.
After much patience, love, and care, 5 days passed before he was finally able to lift his head and discover what it means to play.
Finally, he regained his joy of living.
Tara had to keep her warm in pajamas for a long time to balance her body temperature, given her critical condition.
Despite how cruel they were to her in the past, it was particularly striking that in her heart there was only overflowing love to give, she was the sweetest and most loving furry creature Tara had ever met.
