We’re not all perfect, we know that all too well. Even puppies can be born with certain physical defects and limitations, which end up making them disliked by others and even causing rejection and fear.
Bethany is an eight-month-old Labrador mix. She suffered complications at birth that deformed much of her face .
She was rescued from the streets of Ukraine, and since she saw the light of life, nothing has been easy for her.
She has become accustomed to being rejected by people who, upon seeing her, think she has something “contagious” and try to stay away.
He has one eye averted, his gaze is elsewhere, his snout is completely turned to the right side of his face, and his teeth are completely exposed.
But the persevering and sweet Bethany doesn’t lose hope that someone will appear who doesn’t notice her flaws, and who values the countless virtues she has, and thus be able to find a permanent home.
She prays that at least someone will notice the light hidden in her heart.
“There’s absolutely nothing wrong with Bethany, she doesn’t even snore when she sleeps ,” said one of the volunteers caring for her temporarily.
People don’t accept the opinions of shelter staff, who know from experience what the dog is really like, and if they tell you there’s no danger in adopting Bethany, it’s because it’s true.
“People ask if we’re sure we’re doing the right thing, and how do we know? We know because we’ve taken her to the vet many times , and she’s fine.
If she were that sick, they would have euthanized her because that’s their job , but she’s perfectly fine, she’s the most amazing dog I’ve ever met,” the shelter workers say.
Many people seek out pets just to show off their beautiful photos on social media. They don’t consider that pets who have been through difficult times in their lives are the ones who need love and care the most.
“If I lived in that country, I wouldn’t hesitate to adopt her. She’s beautiful and deserves a family that loves her. I hope to God that she can be even happier and give her a family that loves and protects her from everything ,” said one Internet user.
Patience, little one, soon the person will come who sees through your fuzzy little eyes the enormous heart you have. Never let appearances separate you from what’s truly worthwhile.
