Haaland backs 'kick and run' tactics after chat with old-school boss Neil Warnock

Pep Guardiola invited the 76-year-old to visit Manchester City’s training ground earlier this month, where he spent time talking to the players. Haaland, a big fan of English football, said he was happy to meet Warnock and enjoyed their chat — they even found out they had a lot in common.

Haaland also told him that City will find the energy to finish the season strong, despite some setbacks — just like they’ve done in the past.

Looking back on his meeting with Warnock, Haaland said: “He’s a really funny guy, a good guy. I’ve watched a lot of English football my whole life so I know he’s a legend of the game.

“I didn’t know he was coming so it was a surprise but I had a good chat with him. He’s got an old school way about him and I’m also a little bit old school because of my father. We had some good discussions.”
