Vinicius Jr’s contract extension with Real Madrid remains unresolved, despite earlier suggestions that a deal was close. Talks began earlier this year at the club’s initiative, but no agreement has yet been reached. The Brazilian forward’s current deal runs until 2027.

According to MARCA, Vinicius’ agent, Frederico Pena, initially requested terms that the club considered unfeasible. Although those demands were later reduced to around €30m net per season, including bonuses, Real Madrid are unwilling to exceed €20m per year. Negotiations are currently on hold but are expected to resume soon.

In an attempt to strengthen their negotiating position, Roc Nation Brazil – the agency representing Vinicius – have held meetings with Saudi Pro League officials in recent months. Discussions included potential ambassadorial roles related to the 2034 World Cup. However, there is no firm offer on the table, and reports of a €200m salary are said to be unfounded.
