Xabi Alonso will replace Carlo Ancelotti as Real Madrid’s next coach before the Club World Cup kicks off in mid-June.

Alonso’s coaching staff have now been revealed ahead of his big move.

Sebas Parrilla: The Argentinian will continue as Xabi’s assistant and right-hand man. It’s Parrilla who will replace Alonso in the event of a red card or absence. The Argentine has been with Alonso since his time at Real Madrid. They then went together to Real Sociedad B.

Alberto Encinas: The Catalan native will work as Alonso’s third assistant coach. Encinas has experience working in Barcelona, where he even served as García Pimienta’s assistant. In 2021, he started working at Leverkusen and formed a great relationship with Alonso.

Ismael Camenforte López: The Spaniard will replace Antonio Pintus as Real Madrid’s fitness trainer. Lopez started work as a fitness trainer at Barcelona B, where he was Domenec Torrent’s assistant. He’s since worked in New York City and Denmark before moving to join Alonso at Leverkusen.
