Real Madrid are now more convinced that Xabi Alonso will become their next manager before the FIFA Club World Cup. According to Fabrizio Romano, talks have already progressed and the club see him as their first choice.
The pressure has increased after Real Madrid lost 4-3 to Barcelona in the latest El Clasico. The result has pushed the club to move faster in securing Alonso.
Romano said: “Real Madrid are increasingly confident that Xabi Alonso will be in charge of the team during the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.”
