Without blankets and amidst his own excrement, a poor little dog lived before being rescued.
His name is Nox and at just 3 years old he had already experienced how hard life can be without the protection of a truly responsible owner or a small plate of food a day.
The 30 Millions of Friends Foundation removed Nox from the care of his former human handler after the terrible conditions in which the woman kept him became evident.
The furry one lived in a makeshift shelter outside a residence in Nuncq-Hautecôte (France).
In the days before the rescue, the thermometer read -10 degrees Celsius in that town, and it was evident that Nox had been enduring the onslaught of the harsh climate all that time.
Their food dishes were empty, their niche perforated and about to collapse, while their own feces invaded the place.
The rescuers hope that this stark image of the creature and the state in which it was found will penetrate the heart of its former owner, so that she will realize what she achieved with her evil, negligence, and lack of love.
Upon sudden inspection by foundation volunteers and a supervisor from the Ministry of the Environment, Nox’s former owner felt intimidated and claimed she didn’t have enough money to maintain it.
There are no excuses when it comes to preserving life and responsible dog ownership! It’s not a matter of poverty, it’s a matter of love.
At first, poor Nox was a little scared in the presence of strangers.
“The living conditions were completely unrespected. The mud mixed with the excrement. When we put the leash on him, he urinated on it. He must not have been used to being outside,” Flore lamented.
