Captain Fantastic was absolutely brilliant in this game. Valverde played through injury and still featured for 120 minutes while scoring his penalty. At one point it seemed like he was the only one pushing the team.

Asencio – 7

Raul Asencio was absolutely brilliant for Real Madrid in defence. The Spaniard was almost unbeatable at the back. He covered the spaces well, passed out brilliantly and didn’t let anything get past him.

Mbappe did his best in this game even though Atletico Madrid players marked him so hard. There were moments when Mbappe was even tracking back to help out the defence. He didn’t do that at PSG.
