Khloe Kardashian has revealed on the reality show ‘The Kardashians’, in which she was reunited with her ex-husband Lamar Odom nine years later, that she prevented the NBA player’s father from disconnecting him from a life support machine when he was in a coma in 2015 after suffering a drug overdose in a brothel.

“I was there when your dad said, ‘Unplug’ so he could cash in on your life insurance,” Khloe Kardashian told Lamar Odom about his father Joe, who died in 2021.

Khloe made it clear to Lamar Odom that it was her and her family (Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner) who stood by him “six heart attacks and 12 strokes”.

The Kardashian clan member, who was married to Odom from 2009 to 2016, told Lamar that his teammate Kobe Bryant “came in when we had to operate on your lungs”.

Khloe Kardashian reminded Lamar Odom of the tough episode he went through when he relapsed into drug addiction just a year after coming out of a coma: “I punched you in the face and smashed everything in that house.”
“I do believe that addiction is a disease. The truth is that no one can save someone from that except that individual. I tried countless times to save Lamar from that. You can’t keep doing shit and expect people to just stay. I had to learn the hard way that I can’t save anyone in that position,” she reflected.
