Never Letting Go—Rescued Pup Clings to Her Savior, Pouring a Lifetime of Gratitude into One Heartfelt Embrace

Reba is a cute little dog who lived on the streets. It is not known how she got there, but what is certain is that she was losing all her strength to live.

When they saw a small animal curled up on the road, they thought it was a deer, not a dog.

His only source of food was the rubbish he found on the streets and the occasional thing that the local residents gave him. His situation became so alarming that you could see his bones.

Kris Lenker and her husband were driving in Connecticut when they saw Reba. Their first thought was that she was a deer in distress.

It was no easy task. Reba had had some very bad experiences and was truly terrified every time a human came near her. When Kris’ car stopped near the dog, she ran off down a path.

Kris managed to spot her a couple of times but the poor thing just kept hiding. Kris has always loved animals so she knew she shouldn’t give up.

He spoke to her in the sweetest way possible and the beautiful dog seemed to understand that she was now on sale. She didn’t usually trust anyone but somehow she seemed to understand that this was the beginning of a new life.

They took her in the car and from that moment on Reba and Kris were inseparable. On the way home, this cute little furry friend never stopped hugging her.

She was thanking her rescuers. She was really exhausted after going through so much danger and hardship on the street.

“Reba slept the whole way home with her little head on my lap,” Kris said.

The first few days weren’t easy for Reba. The poor thing was confused because she had never had a home, but as the days went by she finally understood that she was safe now.

The Lenker family has other dogs at home so this cute furry friend now has a big family. Little by little she has learned what the rules of the house are and the best thing of all is that she is eating and has managed to gain weight.

Reba has been living with Kris for two years now and has reached her ideal weight, received all her vaccinations and is completely free of danger.

“Her energy levels have improved a lot and she has become more affectionate, you just want to give her kisses,” Kris said.

It is a great joy to know that Reba’s dark past is behind her, and that she now has the love and unconditional support of her family. This is the fate that all street dogs deserve.
