This is a video of last year’s Chilean military parade, and surprisingly, nine golden retriever puppies were participating.
The cute dogs cradled in the chest of a female soldier are the eggs of police dogs of the National Police Force. Behind them, a group of adult Golden Retrievers who are already active participate in the parade.
The youngest puppy, Wan Wan, stole the show without marching on his own. As soon as this video was posted on bulletin boards overseas, many users wanted to join the military.
Chile debuts new members of canine unit
In mid-September 2018, the country’s smallest military unit made headlines in Santiago, Chile.
According to local media reports, more than 9,500 people participated that day. Nearly 10,000 members paraded through O’Higgins Park in the center of the capital, Santiago.
This parade commemorates the battle for independence from Spain that began in 1810, and this year marks the 208th anniversary of the event.
