For Patrick, bears are familiar to him, so it’s not unusual to see them walking around his garden. But exactly two years ago, the spring of 2021 was a little different. A female bear, whom Patrick named “Simone,” brought the cubs with her.
Simone came to the front porch and showed the cubs to Patrick, as if to say, “Hello. I’d like to introduce you to my children.”
Patrick says he will never forget what he saw at that moment. It was as if Simone had come to introduce Patrick to the children, as if she had accepted him as a member of her family.
No matter how different their living areas may be, bears are not always friendly towards human beings. And of course, the reverse is also true. However, Patrick seems to have a good relationship with the bears in his neighborhood.
After playing in the garden for a while, the three went back to the forest together. Patrick named the cubs Milo and Luca. Now that the cubs have grown up, they have started coming to Patrick’s garden to play.
