It is in situations like this that we can say that one can still have faith in humanity.
Remember that post we made here where we showed the rescue of 3 deer stranded on the ice ? Well, once again some of Bambi’s relatives got into trouble.
Jokes aside, it’s quite common to remember the old saying about not interfering in the lives of wild animals: “You have to let nature take its course.”
Sometimes, however, it is not so easy to do this. Human instinct (at least from good-hearted humans) kicks in and makes a difference when a creature is seen to be fighting for its life.
At this point, the deer was close to complete exhaustion.
Throwing a rope.
No luck with the first try.
There we go. Coming closer.
Any longer there in the water, and the animal would probably have succumbed to exhaustion.
Yeah!!! We got it!
Pulling into the boat.
Clearly exhausted by everything that happened.
Trying to dry it.
He seems glad to be alive.
Remarkably calm, but probably too tired to do anything.
Heating and drying.
Soaked to the bone.
The Reddit user said that when they entered the lake there were two baby deer in the lake.
Unfortunately, the other succumbed to exhaustion before they could get to the other.
A look of gratitude
Bringing the baby deer back to shore.
Good Samaritans.
When the deer returned to land, it couldn’t walk at first.
So they took him as close to the forest as possible.
That’s when he hid under one of the cars to rest.
Here he rests under the car. A short time later, he left and ran back into the forest.
