Upon closer inspection, I realized it was still a tiny fawn. There was no sign of the mother deer anywhere in sight. The scene resembled a whimsical cartoon, featuring the ᴜпіqᴜe pairing of a mother dog and a newborn fawn.
Then the fawn did something ᴜпexрeсted: she begged for milk, as if she recognized Sadie as her mother.
When I was asked, “Was Sadie really nursing the fawn?” I confidently replied that she was. Although Sadie’s puppies were nearing the weaning stage, she was still producing milk at the time.
Sadie, who was still nursing her own young, was initially confused but allowed the fawn to suckle. It seemed her motherly instincts took over, and she fully accepted the little one.
However, Kayla couldn’t take the fawn home. After discussing it with my husband, we decided to reach oᴜt to a specialist for help.
