Unsung heroes fill the streets with thermal boxes to keep homeless dogs warm through the freezing nights

Life on the streets will never be an easy option, even less so if, in addition to not having a home, you have to endure hunger, great dangers and the low temperatures of a harsh winter.

But in the face of these difficult realities, there are always generous people willing to change the situation. This is what happened in Chile, where a group of volunteers has worked to help street children learn what it is like to sleep warmly in the middle of winter.

The “mini housing complexes” consist of cardboard boxes filled with wool, fabrics and coats to keep them warm and comfortable for these furry friends. But of course, given the humidity and possible rain, they have also taken a step forward and decided to cover the boxes with plastic bags to prevent them from deteriorating due to humidity.

Although it is still unknown who started this beautiful work, everyone on social media is grateful for the idea.

The news went viral after Chilean Clau Medidome shared the case in a Facebook group called SOS Perritos Chile (Official).

The post was immediately filled with positive comments from people grateful for the initiative, but one in particular caught our attention.

His comment made more than one person think, because sometimes we only take joy from this positive gesture, but we are not multipliers of these initiatives. There are many little animals out there dying of cold and other needs, and with gestures like this we can save their lives. The world needs not only nice words, but actions.
