The strange occurrence happened at the University of Palvia in Italy in 1986, but the pictures taking on a Nikon camera have only just resurfaced thanks to a post on Reddit
The story starts in 1986 – but the pictures appear to have only just emerged this week via Reddit. According to the original poster, called UFOnatuer, a professor of the University of Pavia, Italy, came face-to-face with an alien while at work in 1986.
They also appear to be screaming and writhing around while standing up, while one of the images shows them grabbing their genitals. The images were published at the time, with an Italian magazine explaining very specific details the man had “allowed” them to share.
“(He is) above all suspicion and known for his balance, his intelligence and rationality, completely alien to the somewhat emphatic and vaguely bizarre world of the so-called ‘contactees’.
“He is a completely normal person who has always been sceptical of the reports of unidentified flying objects and is now also a testimony, erroneous to the idea that his name is related to the disturbing figure captured by his camera. The university lecturer has agreed to give us what he considers to be evidence of his shocking experience in exchange for absolute confidentiality”
They went on to explained that the man used a Nikon camera, with motor-drive, 55mm lens to take the pics. And, going into very specific details, he had the camera on the Macro setting, 3.5 aperture, shutter speed: 1/4 second Polachrome film and 40 ISO sensitivity.
“We were missing the hypothetical alien. A dog joke? Maybe. But the professor never solved the riddle. And dogs don’t talk.”
Over the following weeks, readers wrote in to ridicule the magazine, as one claimed it was “clearly a tobogganist” in the pictures, given the outfit it was wearing.
