‘Not our fault Phil Foden’s mum is in fact a slag’: Man Utd fans refuse to let Pep Guardiola’s ‘class’ comment slide
During Sunday’s goalless Manchester derby at Old Trafford, Manchester United fans targeted Phil Foden with offensive chants about his mother.
In response, Pep Guardiola condemned the behavior as a ‘lack of class and integrity’, urging fans to be ashamed.

Now, they are refusing to let it slide, even defending their chants towards the Manchester City midfielder’s mum.
For context, there is a viral video of Foden’s mum in a brawl at a nightclub from a couple of years ago.
As a result, it has led to rival fans calling her names and this one takes the cherry on the cake.
One fan wrote: “[Pep] Talks about lack of integrity and class whilst managing a club owned by human rights abusing sports washing cheaters. Look in the mirror you dishonest drugs cheating scumbag. Not our fault Phil Foden’s mum is in fact a slag.”
Another also recalled how David Beckham’s wife Posh was subjected to brutal chants in the past: “Calling Utd players Munichs, thats ok. Singing Posh Spice takes it up the arse, thats ok. Singing Foden’s mum is a slag (she is btw), lack of class.”
A third questioned: “Not defending the chants about Foden’s mum but the outrage feels oddly selective. Players have been met with worse since boots had laces. Why was Pep asked about it? What does that do other than amplify it?”
